5/23/2022 0 Comments Pregnancy tips for New Mums: A blog post around pregnancy tips and 'What I wish I knew' beforePregnancy is a phase of life that many people find exciting and fascinating, and at times, a little (a lot) scary. There are so many things to remember and to learn about being pregnant that it can be hard to keep up. This blog will help you out with some of those 'whish I'd have known' tips during pregnancy.
1. You don't need as much stuff as you think you do! it's easy to get carried away with what you need (and can be fun shopping), but as long as you have the essentials, don't get too worked up if you can't afford to get that new fancy electric nappy bin. 2. Baby movements are different for everyone and your baby will usually have a pattern of their own. If you're worried at all though, give your midwife or hospital a call, they would rather you be seen or they'll reassure you over the phone. And if you're still worried, ask to be seen even if its just to put your mind at rest. 3. Don't expect dads to feel the same. While mums tend to (usually but not always) get that instant bond the minute you see those two lines come up on that pregnancy stick, that seems to usually only happen for dads when baby arrives. As much as you can get them involved (and definitely do), by grabbing their hands when baby kicks or looking through the baby names book for the millionth time, but don't get disheartened if they don't feel that instant rush of love...it'll come. 4. You will miss your bump. While most of us won't actually miss being pregnant (I mean, it's not exactly glamorous), you will likely miss your bump. Maybe not straight away, but months or even years later! So get your camera out, try and catch your baby rolling and prodding inside, those videos will be lovely to look back on. Do a weekly or monthly bump growth photo and turn them into a collage and get a professional shoot booked, you won't regret it.. 5. You don't need tons of maternity clothes. They're expensive, and you'll only get a few months worth wear. A pair of jeans and leggings will do. Get a few cheap stretchy tops a size up or some floaty dresses for the summer? There are plenty of choices. We hope you enjoyed our article on 'what I wish I knew' during pregnancy. Pregnancy is not just a fun and exciting time, but it can also be very frustrating and difficult. If you have any questions about our list of tips or you feel we should add something, feel free to post a comment. We would love to hear from you! Tags:
